If your income (or a relative's) was from only Social Security or disability payments in 2007, and you have not had to file an income tax form--REMEMBER--In order to claim your Federal rebate check (coming soon), you DO have to file a tax form to qualify for it. It is necessary to file a 1040A.

Help is available for seniors in Chenango County--call the Office for the Aging in Nowich to get an appointment (Held at Guernsey Library)--free, I think, for seniors.

Of course you can file your own---I downloaded the 1040A form from the internet.

It's time to move on this--right now !!

I got the below from Paula Barrows about her daughter Kari's class ring.

Someone told my daughter Kari Barrows that her class ring had been found and to look on this site for the woman who found it. I cannot find anything so if you could assist me I would appreciated it very much.  Thank you Paula Barrows
Any body know about this or has this already been found?

OKIE DOKIE FOLKS, seems Houston has resolved the problem and we have a lot of catching up to do! Heck it took me two hours to remember my pass word, but at this age? I am lucky I remembered at all.

Ok who is the first to start trouble? Cheryl? LOL

I finally ran down the database corruption problem that was causing major problems and performance issues with the site!  Those pesky sites that were flooding our guestbook, caused a corruption and bloating of the database to 500 Megs (this is way too large for a site of this size).  Once I stopped their junk and fixed the broken tables, the database went down to 30 Megs (appropriate for this site).

As for the email errors when posting.. the web server is not properly executing the calls to the mail server.  I'm working through that, but have temporarilly disabled emails until I resolve the problem.  I figure since email notifications weren't working anyway, it's better to not have errors while I work on it. I will keep you posted on the progress on the email notifications.

I also Activated all of the legitimate accounts that people created in the past several months.  Because of the broken email, people were unable to activate their newly created accounts.  Those have all been activated now.  As soon as I have email flowing again, I'll send a bulk email out to everyone and remind everyone of their accounts they setup but haven't been able to use.
